Jack, a military doctor stationed in Oregon, and Louise, an aspiring actress in New York City meet by letter during World War II. For years, they write to each other, dreaming they may someday meet, but circumstance always intervenes. Will their love story ever make it off the page and into real life? In this heartfelt play, two-time Olivier and Tony Award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig (Lend Me a Tenor, Crazy for You) shares the true story of his parents’ unlikely courtship with wit, warmth, and irresistible charm.
