Workshops and Readings

Project Stage

The Project Stage is Montgomery Theater's original space. Our first production here was The William by Jonathan Daly in 1993. Until we renovated the Main Stage in 2002, all productions were in this intimate 80 seat theater. We even produced large scale musicals like The Who's Tommy and The Rockhy Horror Show. For years it has been home to Montgomery Theater, Too. We also use the space to develop new work and present staged readings or workshop performances.

Mamalogues: & Other Stories of Being Human

On the Project Stage

New Play Development Workshop directed by Kristin Heckler

This one-woman show is a relatable exploration of the human experience through the lens of parenthood. From labor and mastitis to grief and unicorns, Deborah grapples with how to answer life’s most difficult questions for those who matter most. Told through monologue and song, this artist’s tender account of motherhood will make you laugh, cry, and leave you eager to hear more.

A portion of all ticket sales for Mamalogues will be donated to Domestic Abuse Project and Every Child Counts. Click to learn more about how you can support these incredible organizations.
