A middle-aged confirmed bachelor rents a room in a comfortable old house for the summer. He’s a high school English teacher taking courses towards a master’s degree who needs the room to sleep, study, and occasionally tutor college students. During his short stay, he encounters multiple absurdities presented by the offbeat elderly woman from whom he leases the space. Through the process, he falls in love with a young blind girl ignoring the objections of her overprotective grandmother, his landlady.
